Lesson Topics
This lesson is divided into three topics, each covering a different aspect of maternal and child health nursing:
7.1 Prenatal Care

7.2 Labor and Delivery
In this topic, we will focus on the process of labor and delivery. We will discuss the stages of labor, the different types of delivery, and the role of the nurse in supporting women during childbirth. We will also explore common complications that can arise during labor and delivery and the appropriate nursing interventions.
7.3 Pediatric Nursing
In this topic, we will shift our focus to the care of newborns and children. We will cover the unique physical, emotional, and developmental needs of pediatric patients and the principles of nursing care specific to this population. We will also discuss common pediatric health conditions and the nursing interventions required to promote optimal health and well-being.
